When Apollo the Sun God got a gander at mortal princess Cassandra, he flexed with an offer of a supernatural gift: the ability to see the future! Sounded like fun, but he then started to quid pro quo her, and she was not into him. Apollo, who made his bro Narcissus look like an amature, wasn’t used to being refused, what with being a rich white god and a nepo baby. Since he couldn’t take back the gift,  he got super evil and tacked on to her gift a curse : when she tried to warn people about the future she saw, no one would believe her.
